This is a recap of a recent trip exploring some small flows. I visited a small creek that reminds me of home. With the drought in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains this summer, I was not surprised to see the creek was nearly dry in many spots. The water was all but stagnant. Despite the lower water level and low flow, the water was teeming with life and full of beauty.
Sometimes, the solitude can be deafening.
