Bass Fishing Table Rock, Cold Water Jerkbaits in January Video w Credits

Bass Fishing Table Rock, Cold Water Jerkbaits in January. The Video! Fished a cold afternoon on Table Rock out of Aunt’s Creek with my son Westin Yancey of #modernoutdoormedia and his buddy Clint Underwood! Water temp was 36 degrees at noon when we took off but we did find some 44-45 degree water in some of the sunny cuts. Threw mostly jerkbaits caught 2 decent largemouth, about 3 lbs each. One on a Shad Rap deep 11 jerkbait and Wes caught the other on a 3 gang, 3 blade A Rig. Both caught in the 10 to 15 foot range throwing ito 5-6 with boat setting in 20-25 on small bluff banks with some stickups near!! Check out hundreds of videos and articles at my number 1 bass fishing site, www.largemouthbassnation.com and subscribe below for a chance to win 1 of 500 Mega Chomp Lure Co lures we’re giving away in our ‘Year of Lures’ giveaway! Next drawing at noon CST, Monday February 4th!

LIVE Crawfish Bass Fishing Challenge!!

We pulled a Cajun technique out of the playbook and went bass fishing with live crawfish! I didn’t know what to expect at first, but it easily turned into one of the top 5 fishing trips of my life. Corey and I relaxed and watched deer running around the lake as the crawfish did all the work for us. We boated several Winter chunks and I feel pretty confident that you will see another live bait trip coming up in the future. Hit that thumbs up if you want to see us catch more big bass on live craw daddies!

Our Setup:
6’10 G.Loomis Shakeyhead Rod
Shimano Stradic Ci4
12 lb. Vicious Fluoro
1/0 Mustad DropShot Hook

Flipping Setup:
7′ G.Loomis IMX
Lews Pro Mag
17 lb. Stren
3/0 Mustad Grip Pin

Big Bass at Ohio’s Oakthorpe Lake

Oakthorpe Lake is a tiny little hidden gem when it comes to big time bass fishing. However, if you have a heavy fiber glass bass boat then beware. They tiny little gravel ramp and lack of parking will easily get you stuck and have you run out of space. This lake is close to it’s bigger sister Buckeye Lake but at less than 75 acres is a pond compared to Buckeye Ocean’s of size. The regulars speak of bass in the 5lb-6lb range every year but, if you want to catch them you need to go small when it comes to baits and early in the year.
My tackle for today.
Shimano Curado
6.5ft Fenwick Rod
10lb. Berkely Trilene Line
Black Venom Twitch Worm
3/16 Ounce Tungsten Weight
Load Right Boat trailer from Pirate Marine for accessing shallow ramps
