My First Bass Fishing Tournament (Smith Mountain Lake March 2017)

In this video, me and my brother Doug go fishing at Smith Mountain Lake for our first bass tournament together. We caught some largemouth bass on a jerkbait, but we still could not establish a solid pattern. Overall, I had a great time.

IN this video I take a day to head out to Sturgeon Bay with my dad to do a little smallmouth bass fishing. We started the day offshore around the Larsen Reed area in Door County. The fish are in there summer patterns and they are easy to catch! The key to locate them on the graph and drop down to them. I was using a Gajo Spirit Shad on a drop shot and was dropping down on any mark I saw on my electronics. I love to fish shallow this time of year as well but the weather conditions were not set up for it. We caught a solid bag of smallmouth for Sturgeon Bay this time of the year. A bonus walleye that my dad caught actually was his personal best which came in at 9 pounds! They all went back to fight another day!

Door County and the Bay of Green Bay has some of the best bass fishing on the planet. It ranks pretty close to Lake Ontario in my book! Can’t wait to get back to Door County to chase some smallmouth again!

How I Caught My BIGGEST Bass Ever!

Howdy Fishing Freaks! Today’s story is answering the number one question that I get asked on YouTube. What is your Biggest Bass Ever? When I was a fishing guide on Lake Fork years ago I caught a giant largemouth bass while fishing a jig in the month of March. Fishing a jig is one of my favorite ways to fish for big bass, especially around stumps and trees in stained water lakes. I’ll explain how to find big bass this time of year and how I was fishing my jig when I caught the biggest bass of my life. Hopefully I get a new PB largemouth bass this year, and we have a new story to tell on video. Get you lines tight and your eyes up Fishing Freaks!

Kayak Fishing: BIG Peacock & Largemouth Bass

My roommate Mike Plainte and I linked up with Matt and Eric from Deep Blue Kayak Fishing for a day of freshwater canal fishing in southeast Florida. Deep Blue are some of my favorite guides in Florida, and they did not disappoint. Watch as all four of us absolutely kill it with nonstop action on our way to over 40 fish for the day. Among multiple big largemouth, another species gets checked off my bucket list: peacock bass.
