I Lost Everything… Lake Harris B.A.S.S. Nation HS State Championship

As the gateway to Nationals, the Florida B.A.S.S. Nation High School State Championship was the biggest tournament we’ve fished all year. We stay out on Lake Harris April 7-9. During prefishing we weren’t really able to find anything where we knew we could get big bites, but we figured out how we could get a limit quickly. Day one of the tournament we weighed in 9.11 lbs and were sitting in the mid 20s. Cole and his partner Kobee sat in second after day one. We were able to get a limit early in the morning, but never got any bigger bites to improve our bag. Day two we were able to repeat what we did on day one and get a limit early, but again we were unable to get big bites. Cole and Kobee finished in 5th! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR 100 SUBS!!! We will be down on Okeechobee May 6-7, so hopefully we will be able to get to nationals through there. Thanks for watching! Don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE and help me reach 200 subs!

To all ‘Non-boaters’ or ‘Co-anglers’ everywhere! Put a Pencil to It!

To all ‘Non-boaters’ or ‘Co-anglers’ everywhere!

You know, I never put a pencil to it, until today that is, as to what it costs
to enter 1 tournament a month as a boater. This of course doesn’t include other fishing trips, or pre-fishing lakes before tournaments.

Recent cost for me to go to a club tournament 100 miles from my home, as a ‘boater’. Tow vehicle broke down on way home from so paid for towing the suv home and for towing the boat home too.

Gas tow vehicle $18.56 and $22.00 = $42.00
Treats, sandwiches, ice (12 hour overnight) = $12.00
Towning suv and boat home $48 + 0 (had tow boat coverage
$48.00
Repair tow vehicle (tranny, catalytic engine?? $ 400 to $2000??
Using $1200 for average $ 100.00
Monthly insurance on boat $ $15.00
nighttime lighting strips, batterys, etc $ $44.00
Average monthly to keep boat running $ 40 monthly

Average cost per tournament $ 301.00
Not Including Entry Fees ($20 to $300)

Even take off the breakdown/towing costs is $200.00 per monthly tournament.

Do you think $20 to $30 dollars to come fish once a month is over-paying for a co-angler to fish in another club members boat??

If you do, then you really need to go buy your own boat!

Next time, consider overpaying your host boater! You might actually do
better, as it’s called ‘karma’!

Many of our club members feel this way. Most will never say it, but it’s the reason most boaters aren’t as nice as they should be to ‘Non-Boaters’!

I guess non-boaters feel that the ‘boater’ was going to fish anyway so why not have the company? I would really life your comments on this, both from boaters and non-boaters! Maybe it’s just me!

However it’s to bad they don’t run on beer cause there would be plenty. lol

How to fish docks for early-fall largemouth bass — In-DepthOutdoors.com “Hooked Up!”

Pitching and skipping docks is a great late-summer/early-fall tactic to catch largemouth bass. In-DepthOutdoors.com “Hooked Up!” Host Greg Huff and guest Jason Holmer, of BassUtopia.com, offer dock-fishing tips on a 600-acre, central-Minnesota lake. They also, inexplicably, refer early and often to a big bass they nickname “Honey Boo Boo.” Why? Tune in and find out! The dock pattern in this show will work throughout the upper Midwest on lakes with a similar profile when weather conditions and water temps are similar. [ 90 more words. ]
